WHO here was raised playing SOCCER, SCUBA DIVING, FISHING, SAILING, SURFING and RACING HOT ROD VW”S?
I grew up doing all of this from the ages of 9-25. Do you think that todays children are as interested with “outdoor” recreation as I was,(what with the onslaught of video games!).
My kids HATE to go outside!! Its either “too hot”, or “too cold”, ” its sprinkling” ,” bugs”, “nothing to DOOO”, ETC.
Its like “pulling teeth “to get them to “step” out the dang door! (arrggghhhhh!!!……..LOL)

i’ve been raised playing outside games like…soccer..swimming..stuff like that but..i’m only 11 so i enjoy that stuff…my brother who is 17 will not get off video games for anything though…i don’t think theres anything anybody can do except take the video games away..

video games, computers, cable tv. Why would they want to go outside? Tell them that it’s the law now, children MUST play outside for at least one hour a day, or they’ll be taken away to a foster home where they would be outside all the time. it might work.
