Where is the best place to float on the Meramec River?
My family and I are camping at Meramec State Park in Missouri at the end of June and plan on taking a float trip. Where is the best access point to put in our canoes and rafts, and where would be the best place to end our float? We would like about a five or six hour float.

Is it safe to mount a 2.5 H.P. (30 lbs outboard motor)? to a sportspal double end canoe?
canoe is 15′ 10″ and i will be using it mostly in lakes and a few rivers in central texas. just want to make sure it’s safe. to mount a 2.5 H.P. (30 lbs outboard motor)? to a castle craft sportspal double end canoe? Are the side mounts capable of supporting it? and are all side mounts the same? trolling/outboard?
What should I pack for a regular week long camp?
This will be my first time at a week long camp in June. I have NO idea what to pack. Well ofcourse clothes, toiletries, etc. But im not really sure what to bring. First of all, the camp is for a week towards the end of june in southern Ohio, so it should be warm. We will be doing alot of outdoor activities like canoeing, rappeling, rock climbing, etc.
Any tips or lists you have would be great, thanks ahead of time
