are there any nice places for hiking/picnic 1.5 hr away from chicago? please tell me the name of the park/area and how far it is. ideally it would also have canoeing on a lake, or something fun like that. thanks!

If you are canoeing on a lake when a thunderstorm breaks out, are you in danger of being struck by lightning? Why or why not?

I will be fishing it from a canoe on a small lake about 15- 20 acres. It has lilly pads, weeds, rocky ledges, and almost everything else. The bottom of the lake is rocky. I will be targeting largemouth bass. It is a simi clear (you can see about 4-5 ft) and it is almost never fished especially from a boat. what should I try?

I’m going out with this girl tommorow during the day since she has work at night, can you guys suggest some ideas to do? it’s gonna be a nice day and if i had a canoe i’d take it out on the lake since i’m right next to it, but i dont…i’m in a town where there isn’t much going on..ANY ideas…thanks

I got lost on a lake in a canoe for 6 hours with absolutely no way to protect my head. The entire top of my scalp down my forehead to my eye level and the back of my head down to my shoulder level is completely seared. There are LARGE yellow bubbles all over and some very brown leathery areas with no sensation. Where the bubbles have burst a slimy liquid has come out and the skin is totally white and seems to be about 2 or 3 layers thick (like if you skinned your knee thick as opposed to normal sunburn peeling thick). I don’t have any sensation in the leathery areas, but if I poke at them they start to bleed. What should I do?
