My friend and I dream of sailing across Pacific.
What kind of boat do we need(safe but economical), and what’s cost for the trip?
We want to buy a boat and sail the boat across the pacific ourself

I would like to buy a new dinghy but i am unsure which. I weigh 125kg and i would like take it racing and i would like the option of a trapeze but i need to work up to it. I would also like to take out another person occasionally but mainly sail solo. Budget is not an issue.
Thanks

This book is about a man who helps sail this boat with lots of hash on it to maybe new york and when they get there the police/fbi are already waiting for them because they followed them with helicopters etc. I cant remember it for the life of me. It was based on a true story and the cover was i believe yellow and black.
