Is there anywhere you can buy second-hand magazines online?

I am interested in a subrcription to a really expensive magazine! Its Dinghy Sailing Magazine, and i think its the only magazine that just writes for that audience. I don’t want to subscribe to mags that write for all kinds of sailors, because the chances of me getting anything other than a dinghy anytime soon are prety slim : ) ! Also, its in the UK which makes it even more expensive.

So, is there any way to get second hand magazine issues?

Or, better yet, does anyone know of a dinghy-oriented magazine in the U.S?

a couple sailing questions?

ok so i love to sail and i got a few questions for the other sailors out there:

1) any one else own a bristol 24? if so does yours sail faster on a port tack (just a funny little thing i noticed the other day on sparrow)
2) was naming my sunfish ruby tuesday a bad idea? (named for the song not the resturaunt!!! every one thinks im food obsessed!!!)
3) what does ship rig look like (refering to 1800s canonn-sail wars) i know frigate, i know brig but ship confuses the hell outta me, i cant get the differnce between ship and frigate even though my dad has tried again and again to explain it
3) any body know of a cleaning solution that could remove wallpaper glue? (some freako who used to own sparrow decided it would be great to put shag wall paper all over her foward cabin, ive been trying to clean it off for two years now without much success)
5) whats your favorite boat name!?

ok now i dont expect any one to answer all of these, but please just one!! im curious!!!!

Dinghy Sailors… Books on Dinghy Sailing Theory?

See i dont actually know what i’m looking for. I took a fun, relatively informal sailing course and at the end was told that I was welcome to help out next year if i brushed up on my theory. I guess that means i’m well enough in the wee boats when i’m on the water… but i don’t know enough about why i’m doing stuff.

My knowledge hits an all time low as soon as the boat is out of the water… rigging etc. Unfortunatly most of this is just due to lack of practice… i only get to sail a few months out of the year. That said, i think i could manage it if i work real hard. So, anyone know of a good strong book of dinghy theory? To supplement ample practice of course…

why “blue-jeans” are called so?

I know that blue-jeans, comes from the italian word “blu-genoa” and it was the colour and material used in the sails and uniforms (sailors) of the genoa navy. But the blue-jeans trousers invented by ” levis” are of a lighter blue and per-haps, made with a different type of material and style.
