im building a cargo ship out of popsicle sticks that has to be 30 inches long. what should the other dimentions be. as in width and height? it has to look good and be functional, its being tested on ability to carry the most weight. im going with a jon boat design, with a flat bottom and angled front and flat sides. so how wide should it be and how tall should the walls be?

I wanna build an 80ft. pirate ship, but would it be easier to build it as an single hull, or an catmaran style hull? if i do catamaran does it need a keel? The single hull, if I wanna make it 80′ long, and 25′ wide, how tall from the keel to the top of the hull be?

My family and I would love to go on a small cruise ship, or catamaran or some type of sailboat. We’d love to travel through some small islands or just go anywhere affordable. As long as it has great food and wine the location shouldn’t be a big problem!

I have heard about putting the ship model through wind tunnel and i wish to know what is the purpose behind this. Since i might not have access to a towing basin, how can i simulate the various tests? Areas that i wish to investigate would be drag and stability.

What is the needed crew for circumnavigation in a ~50′ Catamaran, and the same for a an ~80′ Cat? Please do not include service crew (ie cooks, cleaning, ect.), only the crew to keep the ship sailing. Thanks!
