I called walmart today to find out how much their canoes are, and they said 368. I was like, are you sure? That sounds really cheap. And he checked again, and said the same thing. These are the polyethylene, or however you spell it, plastic type. Also, if anyone out there knows, are these worth getting? I’m sure if that price is right, i can’t go wrong, but just curious what people’s experiences are with them. Thanks.

I plan on fishing on a river nearby with the boat. I there will be at least two people (total) in the boat. And maybe even as many as three people now and then. I can get a 50 lb-thrust trolling motor from Walmart for $190. Or I try to get a 9.9 or 15hp outboard for $400-$500. Which motor would be the best for me to get?

About a year and a half ago I purchased a jon-boat from walmart and I haven’t registered it yet. I just haven’t gotten around to it. I still have all the paperwork, title etc. from when I bought it. I would like to know exactly what I will need with me when I go to DMV to register it? If that is the correct place to get it registered? It is a 10 ft jon-boat, aluminum. I don’t have a motor on it yet, but only plan on putting a 40 or 50 lb thrust minnkota, trauling motor. I would like to know how much it will cost me when I go to DMV also. I would like to make it legal for the summer so I can get out and use it. I would like to hear from people who have actually done this. Thanks for the help.
Also, what safety equipment do I need on board? I know life jackets, but then what?
I also have a home made trailer. I know I need to get a vin# stamped on it. I would also like to know how to go about getting it street legal.
